Founder Kiyoshi Furuse established a company in Machida, Tokyo, to manufacture and sell industrial measuring instruments, mainly Air Leak Testers.

Built a new building for office and plant in Takakura, Hachioji, Tokyo, in order to expand its business. Accordingly, sales of Air Leak
Testers increased remarkably, and Cosmo became the leading company in the leak test industry.
